Celebrate IMBD With Us!

May 10th is International Migratory Bird Day (IMBD), and this year’s IMBD theme is “Tundra to Tropics: Connecting Birds, Habitats, and People”. Chat Happens is looking to celebrate this remarkable annual event with you and we are asking for viewer submitted materials to share with the rest of the birding community. Your submissions will help all of us celebrate the wonder of birds, migration, avian conservation, and of course the friendship of birders.

To make this celebration work, we are looking to assemble a special page featuring all of your favorite creative efforts- written and visual- that involve birds and birders. We highly encourage all of you to participate, and your participation can be as easy as simply telling us how you plan on spending IMBD!

Here’s some suggestions on submissions:

Written

  • Poems and Songs
  • Bird/Birding Essays
  • Best Trip Reports
  • Favorite Birding Moment
  • How You Plan on Spending IMBD

Visual

  • Photography
  • Artwork

Please e-mail your submissions by May 1st to chat_happ(at)yahoo(dot)com and include in the subject line “IMBD” along with the category you wish to submit your work. If your work doesn’t fit into the suggested categories above, don’t worry, we still would love to see what you have to offer. Written work can either be submitted in a Word format, or simply in the body of the e-mail. Visual work is recommended as a jpeg file. All creative works will remain property of the creator and not of Chat Happens. We look forward to seeing and sharing with the rest of the birding community all of your creative efforts.
