Varied Thrush

Greetings,

Banding today at Palo was rather slow due to the weather (rain), we also closed early as well. However, we did have one nice bird on the day (only bird)…a 2nd year male Varied Thrush. Rock on!!! I got to extract it from the net and as I got to within 5 feet of the bird I was like “Oh…..WOW”. Nice way to start the banding experience here at Palo.
