…Everywhere a Chipping Sparrow…

Out of nowhere it appears that Chipping Sparrows have come back in force. Everywhere yesterday Chipping Sparrows dominated the air with their trill songs at Lake Taghkanic State Park, and today, for the first time this season, they have joined the others at the feeders. Noticeably absent were American Tree Sparrows who are certainly on their way back north.
