Northern Goshawk

Greetings,

While birding the Hudson River this morning I was greatly surprised to see a NORTHERN GOSHAWK being mobbed by a flock of 5 American Crows. The goshawk was quickly making its way west towards Greene County before it outdistanced the crows and flew across the Hudson River. This marks probably the 3rd or 4th sighting of this large accipiter for me in my home county. A fun, but fleeting sight. Here is to more to come.

Bird on,
~Chad
