Point Reyes Yellow-green Vireo (Belated)
Greetings,
Earlier this month, good friend, Anne Pellegrini and many other birders across northern California (and elsewhere?) had the good fortune of viewing Marin County’s eighth record of Yellow-green Vireo, a beautiful vireo whose northern limits fall just south of the US-Mexican border. This wonderful record should come as no real surprise due to the great ability of the outer point’s (of Point Reyes) great ability to turn up vagrants. Over the course of the last 7-weeks alone the point has been churning out vagrant after vagrant, with a total of 30+ species of warblers nonetheless.
