Vermont so far
Greetings from the Green Mountains of Vermont. I’m still in the process of figuring out which end is up since moving up here but that doesn’t mean I don’t have time for a little birdy dialoge. My apartment has suprised me so far as a birding destination. The night flight of migrants the past several nights has been enjoyed from my porch. Daytime mixed flocks seem to pass by every half-hour or so throughout the day. My official porch list is at 30 species. Of note are Blackpoll Warbler, Grey-Cheeked Thrush, and Killdeer. As far as I can tell there is not any great Killdeer habitat nearby making it a good bird. I had a very large vireo flock today but it was all Red-eyed and Blue-headed; no phillies.
I am very exicted to start writing the posts about our recent cross-country trip and sharing the great memories with you all.
