Yellow-rumps

Greetings,

A late evening run out to Lake Taghkanic State Park in
Columbia County produced many YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLERS
(30+) and around 10 RUBY-CROWNED KINGLETS, all of
which appeared to be singing. A pair of OSPREY were
also observed chasing each other around the lake. The
Yellow-rumps brings my total of warbler species since
Sunday to 5. However, all were in low numbers (1-3)
except the Yellow-rumps. Slowly they are coming…

Also continuing in the yard are around 60-70 AMERICAN
GOLDFINCHES visiting the feeders. Quite a sight to
see.

Good Birding,
Chad
