Below is a list of 10 target bird species that I hope to find during my stay in southern NJ while working for the New Jersey Audubon Society. Many of the species listed are ones that I have previously heard, but have yet to lay eyes on. Still, a few others are ones that I’ve never come close to spotting at all, but feel that my stay in the Garden State will increase the odds of changing that.

If and when any of the following species are observed look for the photo in the species’ tile to become colored instead of black and white. At that point the tile will then be ‘clickable’ and by clicking on it you will discover everything you wanted to know (and more!) about my search for that species, including the first encounter.
